4th - 10th Grade: The Sound of Music
One of the world's most beloved musicals! Based on a true story, Maria, a young, aspiring but quirky, nun fills the lives of the von Trapp children with "The Sound of Music" and captures the heart of their stern and lonely father. But will their harmonious lives be torn apart when their beautiful homeland is ravaged by war? The musical features classic songs such as "Do-Re-Mi," "My Favorite Things," "So Long, Farewell," "Climb Ev'ry Mountain," and of course the title song, "The Sound of Music." This version is from "The Getting to Know Series" which creates uniquely adapted musicals specifically for youth performers. Students are sure to be enchanted by the timeless story and the dazzling score.
Classes will meet on Monday nights from 6 PM-8 PM and Saturdays from 1 PM-3 PM.
Parent Information Session and First Class: Saturday, January 28th @ 1 PM
After casting is complete, students/parents will be given a schedule as to which rehearsals they will be required to attend.
With a variety of programs for students in Kindergarten through High School, PTTP provides an inviting, fun, and safe atmosphere for children to create and develop as theatre artists.
Students are completely immersed in the theatrical process. In addition to studying a large variety of acting styles and techniques, our young artists learn about the “behind the scenes” work needed to produce a show including, but certainly not limited to, stage makeup, lighting design, costumes, and theatre administration.
We offer scholarships as well as multiple child discounts, ensuring that no student is turned away for financial reasons!

Our namesake, Lin Presbury, was an incredible woman who spent her life loving theatre and devoting her time to students and their growth. We feel that this program is a continuation of the legacy she left. We dedicate our work to her.
