Roles I’ll Never Get to Play – A Concert Celebration of Dream Roles

Performance Dates:  February 28th and March 1st

Directed by Kyle Legore

Are you a performer who’s always dreamed of playing a role that you know you’ll never get to portray? Now’s your chance to sing your heart out as you take on the characters you’ve always adored but are out of reach! Roles I’ll Never Get to Play is a concert event that will showcase dream roles and the songs that define them. From powerful Broadway ballads to iconic musical theatre anthems, this concert will celebrate the roles that could have been, but likely never will be.

We are looking for performers of all types, genders, and vocal ranges to be a part of this unique and fun experience.

AUDITION REQUIREMENTS

  • Prepare two songs from any musical for role that you know you’ll most likely never get to perform.  For time purposes on audition day, choose a minute of each song to audition with. (Full song will be performed on concert day)
  • Songs should showcase your voice and emotional range.
  • Solos or Duets
  • If you’re unsure about what songs to choose, think of a role that is vastly different from yourself
(whether in terms of gender, age, vocal range, or character type) and choose a song that represents that role's essence.

CASTING DETAILS

  • We are seeking a variety of voices and personalities. Every role is about imagination and fun—no one is ever too old or too young, too inexperienced or too experienced to dream big.

SONG EXAMPLES

  • For a male-identifying performer (or someone performing a traditionally male role): “No Good Deed”  from *Wicked* (Elphaba)
  • For a female-identifying performer (or someone performing a traditionally female role): “Stars”  from *Les Misérables* (Javert)
  • For an Older Performer: “Good Morning Baltimore”  From *Hairspray
